The Red Bull team has revealed a new line-up for the 2026 Formula 1 season, moving up French driver Isack Hadjar to its senior team and giving 18-year-old Briton Arvid Lindblad his first F1 drive. Lindblad, who has a Swedish father and a mother of Indian descent, will be team-mate to New Zealander Liam Lawson at the sister squad VCARB. These changes results in Japanese driver Yuki Tsunoda being without a drive after five seasons. The New British Hope Arvid Lindblad took part in first practice for the British and Mexico City Grands Prix this year. The youngster was marked out as a prodigy by Red Bull since he was 12 years old. Regarding the team's young driver programme, a senior Red Bull figure previously said that Lindblad "seems extremely gifted", highlighting his "natural quickness". Red Bull prepared a programme since last year to ready Lindblad for his potential Grand Prix bow in 2026, including runs in Grand Prix practice at the British and Mexican races. The rookie said it was a "proud moment", adding: "Next season represents a huge step, and I know there's a lot to learn, but I'm ready to collaborate with the team and step up. I am incredibly excited to get started." He has won a couple of victories in F2 so far this season and is P6 in the championship heading into the final round in Abu Dhabi. A Major Opportunity for Hadjar Isack Hadjar enjoys his first podium in F1, achieved at the Dutch Grand Prix this season. The Frenchman's debut season began on a low note when he spun out on the formation lap of the first Australian Grand Prix. However, since then, he has been one of the stand-out newcomers this season. He featured an excellent top-three result at the Dutch Grand Prix, and he sits in tenth place in the drivers' standings. The team principal said: "Hadjar has shown impressive growth and demonstrated to be a quick learner. Crucially, he has the raw speed that is the number one requirement in this sport. We believe he can succeed alongside Max." Hadjar described it "an awesome move" and said he felt "ready". The Lawson Decision To partner Lindblad at Racing Bulls, Red Bull have opted for Lawson over Tsunoda. Lawson began the season with the main team but was moved back after just two races. He has found his form at Racing Bulls with some strong performances, persuading Red Bull he merits more time. The Japanese driver, meanwhile, has been ejected after a disappointing season. His best result is a P6, and he has scored a minor percentage of the team's points total. These announcements confirm that there is also no spot on the Red Bull programme for Ireland's Alex Dunne, who will remain in F2 next season.
