Gunners striker Viktor Gyokeres has been omitted in Graham Potter's first Swedish national team selection, whereas Liverpool forward Alexander Isak received selection

Gyokeres is set to undergo further medical tests this week following fears of a thigh issue in the Gunners's Premier League win at the Clarets last weekend

The 27-year-old missed Arsenal' European win against the Czech side on Tuesday

Isak Back in Action

Isak, absent from action since 22 October due to muscle issues, was selected for the World Cup matches against Switzerland (November 15th) and the Slovenian side (18 November)

Other Premier League Selections

  • Tottenham midfielder the young talent, who is recovering from concussion
  • Newcastle wide player the Swedish international

Both athletes are among the Premier League contingent named under ex- multiple English clubs manager Graham Potter

Potter's Hiring

The English manager was appointed by Sweden first on a short-term basis on 20 October, less than four weeks following he was dismissed from West Ham

Previous coach the Danish coach was fired after the national team's 1-0 loss to the Kosovan team on 13 October, an outcome that ended straight qualification from qualifying group unattainable

Present Standing

The Swedish team find themselves last place of their qualifying group having just one point in four matches

Should they don't manage to finish second, there remains a chance they might be involved in the secondary qualification as a result thanks to their showing during the previous Nations League
