The three finalists have been celebrated for their outstanding achievements over the past 12 months. Agyemang helped the Lionesses claim victory in Euro 2025, Littler won the world title for the first time, and Perrin burst onto the scene with a unprecedented innings. Littler won the award in 2024 after his breakthrough year. The shortlisted athletes were unveiled on a widely-listened-to radio show. This year's winner will be unveiled on the Sports Personality of the Year show on the 18th of December. The ceremony will be televised from 19:00 GMT. Michelle Agyemang Age: 19 Sport: Football Only 90 days after her senior team debut, Agyemang played a pivotal and thrilling role in England's run to Euro 2025 glory. She came off the bench to score vital last-gasp goals in both the last eight and last four matches. These match-saving moments led to her being named Young Player of the Tournament. Afterwards, she was awarded the prestigious Golden Girl honour for the finest emerging star on the continent. She was also nominated for the Kopa Trophy for the planet's top young female footballer. Agyemang, who has been on loan at Brighton from Arsenal, suffered an ACL injury in October. "Being on the shortlist for this award is an honour," said Agyemang. Luke Littler Age: 18 Sport: Darts Littler's 2025 began in sensational style as - while still 17 - he became the youngest darts world champion in history. He secured a commanding win over Michael van Gerwen in the final. His later win at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth individual to complete the prestigious three major tournament wins. His success continued - his victory at November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he climbed to world number one for the very first time. At 18, he is the earliest achiever to do so, smashing the previous record. "Earning a spot on the shortlist for this award again is a huge privilege," stated Littler. "My victory in 2024 was a special memory for me and I've had another incredible 12 months. I want to continue elevating darts." Davina Perrin Age: 19 Sport: Cricket Perrin is one of English cricket's top prospects and burst into the spotlight with an extraordinary and record-breaking innings in August. Her sublime 42-ball century in The Hundred is the fastest by an English woman in T20s. It also stands as the shared third-fastest women's T20 century in a premier tournament. Perrin came in second place in the batting rankings and was named the young player of the year by the PCA. "I'm incredibly grateful to be named a finalist for the Young Sports Star award," expressed Perrin. "It means a great deal. I hope it inspires more young females to get into cricket."
