Two Victims Named in the Ivy League School Incident as Police Continue Hunt for Perpetrator.

Both young individuals who lost their lives in Saturday’s violent attack in Providence were honored at the start of the week – as a manhunt for their killer continued following the release by local law enforcement of the only individual questioned in the case.

Remembering Ella Cook

Ella Cook, a sophomore from Alabama, was remembered as “an amazing, stable, pious, radiant soul”, per the Cathedral Church of the Advent, Birmingham, which honored her memory at a ceremony on Sunday.

She served as the vice-presidency of Brown’s branch of the campus GOP group, as the club stated. The White House press secretary also expressed words of sorrow publicly, stating: “There are no words. Keeping in mind her loved ones and companions, particularly her mother and father.”

The Second Victim

The other person killed was MukhammadAziz Umurzokov from Uzbekistan, from Uzbekistan in his initial year at the prestigious university, family members said.

The victim's identification was confirmed by Uzbekistan’s foreign ministry.

“He possessed remarkable kindness, humor, and intelligence. He had big dreams of entering the field of neurosurgery and helping people,” Samira Umurzokova, his sister said in a tribute.

What Happened

Nine more persons were hurt in Saturday’s attack in the engineering department of Brown’s campus in Providence, during the institution's end-of-term tests.

Authorities said late Sunday that a 24-year-man taken into custody in a police operation at a hotel about around 27 kilometers from the university earlier in the day was set to be freed.

“We have a murderer out there,” stated Rhode Island’s attorney general, Peter Neronha.

Martin Bertao, Martin Bertao, posted a statement from the organization. “Ella was known for her courageous, valiant, and compassionate nature as she worked for her branch and peers,” he said.

An American diplomat, Jonathan Henick, said he was “profoundly grieved” by Umurzokov’s death in a statement. “Our profound condolences go out to Mr Umurzokov’s family, friends, and fellow students and mourn the loss of his promising future.”
